The Cranleigh acupuncture clinic is open during the latest lockdown,
however several changes have been made to help everyone remain safe during this difficult time.
Before Your Appointment
You will receive an email confirmation of your appointment which contains some questions relating to symptoms. Please reply with your answers prior to your appointment and complete the 'Covid-19 Health Declaration' form below.
For social distancing reasons, unless you require assistance for specific support and care needs, I ask that you come alone for the appointment where possible unless a chaperone, parent or carer is required. Please leave accessory items (bags and coats) in the car, or travel with as little as possible.
I am recommending that patients wear ordinary surgical masks to the clinic or face shield. You may bring your own mask or ask me to provide one for you upon entering the clinic. You may of course use your own PPE, but I will expect you to maintain the highest possible levels of infection control.
Please wear comfortable clothing which is easy to move to reveal arms, legs, back and abdomen for inserting the needles and if you wish you may bring your own large bath towel in case further covering is necessary. However, clean towels are provided, if needed, for each individual patient.
Where possible, it is recommended that we have a telephone consultation prior to your appointment. I will contact you to arrange to do this. If you have a mobile telephone, I recommend taking information from you on arrival while you remain in the car. This is to minimise contact time face to face and it is important for me to establish if there are reasons that it may not be appropriate to treat you at that time.
You will be asked if you have been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with CORONAVIRIS or experienced any of the following symptoms yourself in the previous 14 days:
-
Fever
-
New or persistent cough
-
Loss of taste or smell
Please help everyone to remain safe and healthy by respecting the Government guidelines. If you or someone you live with develops symptoms of Covid-19 by the time of the appointment, please contact us before attending the clinic.
On Arrival
On arrival by car please park on the drive and remain in your car until I collect you. If you are walking, please ring the doorbell and wait on the drive.
If you have a face mask or any other PPE, please wear this at all times, when on site. I can see you on the drive from my clinic room and will either call you on your mobile or come out to signal I am ready for you
I will be staggering the start times for patients’ appointments and allocating plenty of time for each consultation to allow for thorough cleaning and disinfecting of the rooms between patients.
During the appointment
If you need to use the toilet, there are facilities available. The washroom will be thoroughly disinfected between each patient.
No food should be eaten in the clinic.
When you enter the house please keep within the marked areas on the floor and remain two metres distant wherever possible.
Hand washing facilities will be provided on arrival and any personal items may be placed in the plastic box in the clinic room.
In addition, I will wear a mask, face shield and disposable apron and will maintain a two metre distance wherever possible.
If you need to sneeze or cough while in the clinic, please do so into a disposable tissue and throw it away immediately. Please sanitise your hands immediately after doing so.
Payment can be made by card or bank transfer. The card reader will be disinfected between patients.
